Cookie Policy

Cookies and browser storage

Tsuiseki uses essential authentication cookies when you sign in and browser storage for guest tracking and product preferences. Vercel Web Analytics is currently used without analytics cookies. Tsuiseki does not use advertising cookies.

1. Essential authentication cookies

Auth.js sets cookies needed to complete sign-in, maintain your authenticated session, protect OAuth redirects, and prevent request-forgery attacks. Their exact names can vary by environment, security mode, and Auth.js version.

These cookies are required for account sign-in and authenticated features. Blocking them may leave the public tracker available but prevent account access, saved server-side data, billing management, and administrative security controls from working.

2. Browser local storage

Local storage is not a cookie, but it persists data in your browser. Tsuiseki may use it for:

  • guest Library items, progress, status, and migration state;
  • display, motion, workspace, filter, and dismissal preferences;
  • short-lived pending watch-return state used to ask whether you want to update progress;
  • other Tsuiseki-owned convenience state that does not authenticate your account.

Guest-only tracking can be lost if you clear site data, use private browsing, switch browsers or devices, or remove the browser profile before migrating it to an account.

3. Analytics

In production, Tsuiseki loads Vercel Web Analytics. Vercel describes this service as cookie-free and based on anonymized visitor identification that is reset on a short cycle. It provides aggregated information such as page routes, referrers, broad location, browser, operating system, and device category.

Tsuiseki’s analytics implementation must not include authenticated user IDs, private title names, provider identities, or chapter and episode numbers in custom analytics payloads.

4. Third-party websites

When you deliberately open an external provider, that independent website may use its own cookies, local storage, advertising, subscriptions, and analytics. Tsuiseki does not control those technologies. Review the external provider’s own notices and controls.

5. Your controls

  • Use your browser settings to view, block, or delete cookies and site storage.
  • Sign out to end the current authenticated session on the device.
  • Export account Library data before clearing local storage or closing an account.
  • Use browser privacy protections that limit referrer or analytics requests, understanding that some protections can affect functionality.

Tsuiseki does not currently show a non-essential cookie consent banner because it does not set advertising or analytics cookies. This Policy will be updated before introducing a technology that requires additional consent or preference controls.

6. Contact and changes

The current inventory is based on production behavior and may change when a feature is added, removed, or reconfigured. Material changes will receive a new effective date.
